Frequently asked questions
What is Dueloku?
Dueloku is a free, real-time competitive sudoku game where two players race to solve the same puzzle live. It brings head-to-head, ranked multiplayer — the format that made chess online so popular — to sudoku. You can play in any web browser or on the iOS and Android apps.
Can I play sudoku against another person in real time?
Yes. In Dueloku both players fill one shared 9×9 grid at the same time and every move appears instantly for both. There are no turns and no waiting — it is a simultaneous speed-solving race, decided by whoever completes the grid first.
Is Dueloku free to play?
Yes, Dueloku is free to play. You can start a match straight from your browser with no download, or install the free app on iOS or Android. Your rating and match history follow your account across every device.
How does ranking work in Dueloku?
Dueloku uses an ELO rating system, the same competitive model used in chess. Each of the four difficulties — Easy, Medium, Hard, and Evil — has its own independent rating. Winning a live match raises your rating for that difficulty and losing lowers it, with a transparent +/- shown after every game. Ratings map to visible tiers from Wood up to Sage.
Is Dueloku like "chess.com for sudoku"?
That is exactly the idea. Dueloku takes the ranked, real-time, head-to-head structure of online chess — matchmaking by skill, ELO ratings, tiers, friends, and leaderboards — and applies it to competitive sudoku duels.
What platforms can I play Dueloku on?
Dueloku runs in any modern web browser at app.dueloku.com, and as a native app on both Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store). One account works everywhere and keeps your ELO and history in sync.
Do I need an opponent ready, or how does matchmaking work?
You do not need to bring your own opponent. Pick a difficulty and Dueloku matches you with another player near your skill level, usually within seconds. You can also add friends and track your head-to-head record against them.
